On February 21, 2018, Juleanna Glover emailed (found under Michael Wolff's jmail page): "For some reason BBC is asking If I would put them in touch w you re Jeffrey. Do you want me to do th[at]..."
An earlier BBC inquiry, dated June 20, 2006, shows Epstein responding to Maxwell's forwarded BBC inquiry: "letter is fine but we should decide from who... maybe lefcourt" — referencing Gerald Lefcourt, Epstein's defense attorney, as the proposed respondent.
The 2018 BBC email predates Epstein's July 2019 arrest by 17 months and coincides with increased media scrutiny following the Miami Herald's "Perversion of Justice" investigation. The 2006 email, during Epstein's Palm Beach investigation, shows Maxwell serving as the initial point of contact for British media inquiries and Epstein directing the legal response.
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: BBC was making inquiries about Epstein through intermediaries as early as 2006 and as late as 2018. The identity of the specific BBC journalist in the 2018 email is not revealed in the preview. This does NOT establish what BBC reporting was planned or whether it connected to the November 2019 Newsnight interview.
