The email is three sentences. No subject line. Sent from Epstein's personal Gmail (jeevacation@gmail.com) to a redacted Gates email address. The full body reads:
come to visit the island. new adminstration people visiting
The brevity and informality establish several critical facts:
Gates called his association with Epstein "foolish" in 2026 statements. Melinda French Gates stated publicly that Gates "has questions to answer" about the relationship. No response email from Gates accepting or declining the December 2016 invitation appears in the corpus.
In July 2013, draft emails containing unverified allegations about Gates circulated within the Epstein network. The relationship between Gates and Epstein included multiple documented meetings in New York (2011-2014) and at least one visit to Epstein's Manhattan townhouse after the 2008 conviction.
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: The email proves Epstein claimed incoming administration officials were visiting his island and used this to entice Gates. It does NOT identify which officials were present. Epstein may have exaggerated to entice Gates. However, the casual tone suggests factual rather than aspirational content.
