On November 11-12, 2016 — the day after Trump's election — Ariane and Epstein exchanged texts about a banker recruitment:
On November 12, Ariane shared her Trump assessment: "either Trump is a misunderstood genius or it s going to be complicated" (HOUSE_OVERSIGHT_026018).
On October 15, 2015: "Kathy got stuck working on Rothschild stuff... she is in midtown and doesn't think she can make it" (EFTA02715306). Kathy Ruemmler, President Obama's former White House Counsel (2011-2014), was performing legal or business work on Rothschild matters for Epstein. Her dual role — working on "Rothschild stuff" while also negotiating EdR's NPA with the DOJ — creates a direct conflict-of-interest pathway.
(v5.0) The CIA Agency Medal: On January 8, 2015, Ruemmler received the CIA's Agency Medal from Director John Brennan — an award that non-CIA civilians only receive for meaningful roles in enabling CIA operations, typically by clearing legal or political obstacles. The award was never publicly disclosed and only came to light through Epstein files: Ruemmler emailed Epstein about receiving it hours after the ceremony. Analysts note that as White House Counsel, Ruemmler fought to block CIA Benghazi disclosures from reaching Congress — two years before Brennan awarded her the medal. The Epstein files reveal over 100 emails between Ruemmler and Epstein ("wonderful Jeffrey," "sweetie," "Uncle Jeffrey"), her role as backup executor of Epstein's January 2019 will, and alleged payment of $10 million from the Rothschild family through Epstein to resolve a $45 million DOJ tax matter. After Goldman Sachs (where she became Chief Legal Officer in 2020), Ruemmler resigned on February 12, 2026. This creates a network node connecting Obama White House → CIA leadership → Goldman Sachs → Rothschild family → Epstein.
