[GRADE A2 — EFTA00990308, EFTA01925663 (Epstein emails, May 2014)]
A May 20, 2014 email from "Jeffrey E." to Melanie Spinella states: "As a follow up to yesterday's meeting, the LDB Foundation was incorporated" (EFTA00990308). "LDB" = Leon D. Black. This document, combined with Bloomberg's reporting of an October 2018 instruction to "remove Leon Black, substitute donor" from charitable records, establishes a pattern of identity concealment around Black's Epstein-directed philanthropy.
The corpus also contains Black's full estate planning architecture: "Black Family Estate Planning Documents" (EFTA01088276, April 3, 2013), "Black Family Trust Structure" (EFTA01110701, June 2012), and correspondence addressed to "Ms. Debra R. Black, Ms. Victoria Black, Mr. Benjamin Black" (EFTA01087882). The fact that Epstein held copies of these documents demonstrates extraordinary access to Black's most sensitive personal financial information.
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: The LDB Foundation formation confirms Epstein was directing Black's charitable giving. Estate planning documents in Epstein's possession demonstrate deep financial integration. The October 2018 "remove Leon Black" instruction (Bloomberg, Grade B) occurred nine months before Epstein's July 2019 arrest — suggesting possible foreknowledge of impending exposure. It does NOT prove foreknowledge — the instruction may have reflected routine confidentiality preferences.
