[GRADE A2 -- EFTA00436142, EFTA00436148, EFTA01050772, EFTA00475742, EFTA02640863 (seized Epstein emails)]
Seized emails from Epstein's devices document an active, ongoing personal relationship between Epstein and Lutnick spanning at least 2011 to 2018 -- well after Epstein's 2008 conviction and registration as a sex offender.
April 2011: Lesley Groff (Epstein's assistant) messages Epstein: "Howard Lutnick returned your call." Epstein responds: "call list otmororow." This indicates routine telephone contact.
November-December 2012: Multiple email chains coordinate a holiday meetup in the Caribbean (see Part 4 below).
August 2017: David Mitchell forwards a Page Six article about Lutnick purchasing a triplex at an $81M discount. Epstein responds: "you can tell him i would like to buy his house."
May 2018: Lutnick contacts Epstein via Groff about a development blocking park views near their properties: "Are you aware as to them building to block our park views. What should we do about it? Time is of the essence." Separately, Epstein writes to Lutnick: "how long until sherry is ready, and i can buy my guest house?" Lutnick responds that the construction is still 4 years out.
The 2018 property communications are particularly significant. They indicate geographic proximity between Epstein and Lutnick residences (shared "park views"), a property purchase relationship ("my guest house" at a Lutnick-controlled property), and collaborative posture on neighborhood issues ("What should we do about it?"). This communication occurred 10 years after Epstein's conviction and 13 months before Epstein's July 2019 arrest.
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: The documents establish a continuing personal and property-related relationship between Lutnick and Epstein from 2011 through 2018. They indicate shared real estate proximity and mutual business interests. They do NOT establish that Lutnick was aware of or complicit in Epstein's criminal activities. Many public figures maintained contact with Epstein post-conviction.
