[GRADE A2 -- EFTA02151530 (seized Epstein email, December 20, 2012)]
Lesley Groff emails Matthew Gilbert (Lutnick's assistant at Cantor Fitzgerald): "Hi Matthew...to keep you in the loop...Jeffrey is asking if Howard and family could come to his island for lunch this Sat. or Sun....Jeffrey's island is Little St.James on the map, behind Christmans Cove."
On the same day, Gilbert responds (EFTA02151664): "Thanks Lesley, it looks like Sunday is coming together. Howard is fine with you cc-ing me or forwarding to me any plans as we go."
This exchange was preceded by a coordination chain beginning November 20, 2012, when Groff wrote to Lutnick: "Jeffrey Epstein understands you will be down in St. Thomas some over the holidays. Jeffrey requested I please pass along some phone numbers to you so the two of you can possibly get together." Multiple forwarded messages confirm exchange of personal cell phone numbers for Lutnick, his wife Allison, and Epstein.
The invitation is for a family visit ("Howard and family") to Little St. James -- Epstein's private island and the documented location of trafficking activities. Gilbert's response ("Sunday is coming together") indicates the visit was accepted or at minimum being actively arranged. The full name-drop of "Little St.James on the map, behind Christmans Cove" suggests the Lutnicks may not have previously visited.
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: The documents establish an invitation to and apparent acceptance of a family visit to Little St. James Island in December 2012. This is 4 years after Epstein's conviction. It does NOT establish that Lutnick witnessed or participated in any criminal activity during the visit. Many of Epstein's social visits to the island involved no criminal conduct.
