[GRADE A2 -- EFTA02575973 (seized email, October 9, 2013)]
Harry Beller (Epstein associate) emails: "Darren asked that we wire $125,000 from Southern Trust to Adfin Solutions. Can Leslie patch you in to Deutche Bank to confirm this wire when they call." This confirms: (a) Southern Trust directly funded AdFin, (b) Darren Indyke (Epstein's attorney) directed the wire, (c) Deutsche Bank processed the transaction, (d) Lesley Groff coordinated the banking confirmation.
[GRADE A2 -- EFTA00717357 (seized email, January 7, 2014)]
David Mitchell emails Epstein: "In brief I wanted to update you on the fundraising in Adfin: 1. We completed a $2 million convertible placement with Cantor Ventures at the end of the year, 2. The Company needed the cash sooner than was planned, 3. Cantor is doing another $4 m[illion]." This proves Cantor Ventures (a Cantor Fitzgerald subsidiary) invested at least $6 million into AdFin -- the same company where Epstein was a co-investor.
[GRADE A1 -- EFTA01365147, EFTA01360425, EFTA01365201 (Deutsche Bank KYC records)]
Deutsche Bank's internal Know Your Customer (KYC) records for Southern Trust Company, Inc. state unequivocally:
KYC Party Contact: Jeffrey Epstein
Role: Signatory or Full POA
Please Describe: Sole shareholder of Southern Trust
This was confirmed across multiple KYC review dates (8/21/2013, 2/24/2014). A subsidiary record states: "Southern Trust is the sole member of Southern Financial and Jeffrey Epstein is the sole shareholder of Southern Trust."
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: The shareholder schedule eliminates any claim that Lutnick did not know who the other investors were. CVAFH I LLC and Southern Trust Company appear on the same one-page document. Combined with Mitchell's email explicitly identifying Epstein as "the principal behind AdFin's investor Southern Trust," and Cantor Ventures' $6M follow-on investment, the paper trail documents a direct, knowing, multi-million-dollar business partnership between Lutnick and Epstein entities. Deutsche Bank's KYC records independently confirm Epstein's sole ownership of Southern Trust. However, co-investment in a startup is not illegal, and knowledge of co-investors does not imply knowledge of their criminal activities.
