[GRADE B β News reporting, February 2026]
On February 3, 2026, Turkish prosecutors at the Ankara Public Prosecutor's Office began reviewing the 3+ million DOJ documents after allegations surfaced that Epstein "transported minor girls from Turkey, the Czech Republic, Asia, and numerous other countries."
The inquiry was launched in December 2025 after an opposition Iyi Party MP highlighted references in Epstein's 2008 civil case. Istanbul MP Dogan Bekin submitted two formal parliamentary motions requesting answers from the Interior Minister and Family/Social Services Minister.
The filings cited do not name specific victims, dates, or mechanisms of transport.
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: Turkish prosecutors are actively investigating allegations of trafficking from Turkey. The existence of an investigation does NOT establish that trafficking from Turkey occurred. The allegations reference Epstein's 2008 civil case, which contains unverified claims. If substantiated, Turkish victims would expand the known geographic scope of Epstein's trafficking operation beyond the United States, USVI, France, and the United Kingdom.
