[V1.1] Power of Attorney: Jmail email from October 27, 2018 documents Epstein writing: "I assume that if I grant Richard Kahn power of attorney, he can represent me during the mediation" — establishing that Kahn held POA for Epstein in legal proceedings, and that the Indyke-Kahn infrastructure extended to formal legal representation.

All four are CO_APPEARED_WITH each other in the Neo4j graph, establishing a documented operational core.
Jmail footprint: 1,358 emails. DugganUSA footprint: 2,546 documents — the highest individual document count in the household infrastructure after Groff (6,283). Kahn's document density exceeds even Indyke (1,523), reflecting his central role in financial documentation.
HBRK Associates (Org node): 8 relationships in Neo4j including LINKED_TO Document nodes. DugganUSA: 1,687 documents reference "HBRK." The firm at 575 Lexington Avenue served as the financial administrative hub for Epstein's domestic operations, processing employment contracts, trust documents, and cash disbursements.
Butterfly Trust connection (May 2019): Jmail email documents Kahn's involvement with "Butterfly Trust Signed/Notarized" — Kahn confirmed receipt of the document, establishing his continued fiduciary role with the trust through May 2019, two months before Epstein's arrest.
¶ Eva Dubin — Trust Trustee (Neo4j: 80+ relationships)

The indexofepstein node records 80+ relationships including CO_APPEARED_WITH Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, Glenn Dubin, Darren Indyke, and Richard Kahn. She was named trustee of the 2017 Epstein Trust alongside Indyke and Kahn.
Black book: 5 entries under "Dubin" — Glen Dubin (p.15, Dubin & Swieca Capital, 1010 Fifth Ave Apt 11D), Louis & Tiffany Dubin (The Athena Group), Peter Dubin (London phone), Eva Andersson (p.69, 1010 Fifth Ave Apt 10A — one floor below Glenn), and a page 95 entry describing Eva as "Former model & mother of naked pic (Dubin)."

"Butterfly Trust" (Person label) — epstein-network dataset. MENTIONED_IN 6 EFTA documents: EFTA00037696, EFTA00037690, EFTA00015937, EFTA00020685, EFTA00019689, EFTA00029805. Also LINKED_TO_OFFSHORE 25+ entities including "BUTTERFLY TRUST" (Officer node), and multiple Maltese/Singaporean/US addresses containing "Butterfly" — most of which are ICIJ false-positive matches, not Epstein-related entities.

"The Butterfly Trust" (Organization label) — nydfs-db-order dataset. LINKED_TO Jeffrey Epstein (Person) and one Document node. This is the authoritative NYDFS designation of the entity.
The dual-label mismatch (Person vs Organization) means queries targeting Organization nodes will miss the epstein-network data, and vice versa. The ICIJ offshore links are mostly noise (addresses containing "Butterfly" worldwide), but the core entity — the Butterfly Trust at Deutsche Bank with Indyke as primary contact and Shuliak as beneficiary — is documented across both nodes.
¶ Steve Bastone — NULL RESULT (Confirmed)

The jmail corpus documents 17 Bastone emails spanning 2010–2019. Key findings:
- Interior designer role confirmed: April 2019 email from Shuliak: "Jeffrey has hired Stephen Bastone, the interior designer, who is going to do some work to the house." Richard Kahn (HBRK) responds acknowledging.
- Long-term presence: Earliest reference June 2010 ("Steve Bastone has confirmed he will come to the house on Friday"), latest June 2019.
- Black book: Hillary Bastone (p.4, London phone 0207-259 6070) — not Steve, but same surname, London-based.
- Epstein request pattern: "Tell him, I would appreciate 15 minutes" (Jun 9, 2010); "can you ask if we can see steve bastone today or tomorw before we leave?" (Jun 2, 2019).
The absence of a "Steve Bastone" graph node despite 17 jmail emails and a 9-year documented presence represents a data gap — his emails were not processed through NER/entity extraction. The black book's "Hillary Bastone" (London) may be a relative.
¶ Francis — Beef Jerky Maker Candidate Investigation
[V1.1: Neo4j "Francis" search returns 40 Person nodes. The standalone "Francis" node (epstein-network) and "Francis & Pastora House cleaning service" (doc-explorer) are the strongest candidates for the beef jerky maker identified in the May 2013 email (EFTA02302484).]
The jmail mining returned 116 "Francis" matches, but most refer to other individuals:
- Francis Pedraza (Feb 2018): Tech entrepreneur, "portfolio founder" introduced to Epstein by "Masha." Meeting arranged at 9 East 71st Street. This is NOT the beef jerky Francis — the introduction is too late (2018 vs. 2013 beef jerky thread).
- Pope Francis (Jun 2018): News article forwarded, not a contact.
- San Francisco: Multiple emails referencing the city.
- Francis & Pastora House cleaning service: Neo4j doc-explorer node — a cleaning service where "Francis" is a first name. This is the strongest candidate for the beef jerky maker who visited 71st Street to teach preparation.
The May 2013 email states "Francis will be at 71st around 3p if you'd like to learn how to make the beef jerky 
S." A house cleaning service employee named Francis with access to 71st Street is consistent with the description. However, positive identification requires document EFTA02302484 full-text analysis to determine sender/recipient.
