[GRADE A2 — yahoo_2 email 09340eeb (Epstein Yahoo archive, 2006)]
On July 9, 2006, Jeffrey Epstein wrote from jeeproject@yahoo.com:
is lima comig ? --- gmax1@mindspring.com wrote: > Josye sd she could be at you house Wed - I invit
This email, with 8 stars, shows Epstein responding to Ghislaine Maxwell (gmax1@mindspring.com) about event logistics. Maxwell had written about someone named "Josye" being at Epstein's house on Wednesday, and Epstein asked whether "lima" was coming.
A deep-dive analysis of adjacent emails reveals a critical sequence:
The sequential timing (Jul 3 → Jul 8 → Jul 9) links "adriana" from the Macedo procurement network to the "lima" reference. Three hypotheses emerge:
Hypothesis 1 — Adriana Lima, Victoria's Secret supermodel (LOW-MODERATE confidence):
Adriana Lima exists as a named Person node in the Neo4j graph (source: indexofepstein, entity_type: "mentioned", description: "Victoria's Secret model. Named in Epstein's contact book. No allegations."). She was 25 in July 2006 and at peak fame. Epstein's connection to Victoria's Secret through Les Wexner is well-documented. However, a 2010 email shows Epstein making a derogatory comment about her appearance — inconsistent with personal familiarity. No direct evidence of personal interaction exists.
Hypothesis 2 — A Brazilian woman with surname Lima from the Macedo network (MODERATE-HIGH confidence):
Ana Maria Macedo was a Brazilian model scout/procurer who operated from Sao Paulo. She had a guest unit (3F) at Epstein's dedicated "Apt. for Models" at 301 East 66th Street, New York (Black Book, page 68). Epstein transferred a below-market Sao Paulo apartment to Macedo in 2005. "Lima" is the second most common surname in Brazil after Silva. On July 3, Epstein asked Macedo about "adriana" — if this Adriana's surname was Lima, Epstein would reference her by surname when speaking with Maxwell. The "josi and adriana" pair from July 8 then maps directly to "Josye" + "Lima" on July 9 — the same two women being arranged as a pair.
Hypothesis 3 — Unknown person with Lima surname (MODERATE confidence):
No person with the surname Lima appears in the Black Book. Only one email in 70,023 uses "Lima" as a person reference (this one). The context of July 1–15, 2006 shows Epstein actively scheduling women from multiple procurement channels: Natalie Malyshev (Russian/Eastern European women), Ana Maria Macedo (Brazilian), Jean-Luc Brunel (models), and Maxwell (social circle).
The "Josye/Josi" referenced in both July emails is likely a Brazilian woman — "Josi" is a common Brazilian diminutive of Josiane or Josiele. The unusual spelling "Josye" suggests a non-English name being phoneticized.
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: The evidence most strongly supports "Lima" as a Brazilian woman from the Macedo procurement network whose surname was Lima — the same "Adriana" Epstein asked Macedo about on July 3 and whose picture appeared with "Josi" on July 8. Whether this is the supermodel Adriana Lima or another Brazilian woman with that surname cannot be determined from available evidence. The Macedo network was a documented Brazilian model pipeline: Macedo had a guest unit in Epstein's model apartment building, received a below-market apartment from Epstein, and sent women (including "Ingrid," "Adriana," and others) on a regular basis. This does NOT establish that anyone named Lima was a victim, a co-conspirator, or involved in illegal activity. The reference may indicate attendance at a social event.
