Three emails establish that Epstein and Barak communicated directly about Mossad personnel and Robert Maxwell's Mossad connections:
November 8, 2017, 4:XX PM (EFTA00964912): Epstein writes to Barak:
"boles said he got to the mossad guys through you? true?"
November 8, 2017, 5:XX PM (EFTA00964979): Fifty-five minutes later, Epstein writes to Barak again:
"Did Boies ask you to help Obtain former mossad agents to do dirty investigations? this is getting a lot of press."
"Boies" is David Boies — the prominent attorney who represented Harvey Weinstein. In November 2017, Ronan Farrow revealed that Weinstein hired Black Cube (an Israeli private intelligence firm founded by former Mossad agents) to surveil and intimidate his accusers. Boies' firm was connected to these arrangements. Epstein's emails suggest that Barak was either a conduit for Boies' access to former Mossad operatives or that this was publicly alleged.
March 15, 2018 (EFTA02507843): An email in Epstein's files discusses Robert Maxwell's relationship with Mossad:
"Robert Maxwell threatened Mossad. He told them that unless they gave him 400million to save his crumbling empire, he would expose all he had done for them."
The email further details Maxwell's access: "free access to Thatcher's Downing Street, Reagan's White House, the Kremlin" and states: "Maxwell passed on all the secrets he learned to Mossad in Tel Aviv."
These three emails place Barak as a gateway to Mossad personnel in Epstein's communications. The Boies emails are contemporaneous with the Weinstein/Black Cube scandal — Epstein was tracking whether Barak's name was connected to the arrangement. The Robert Maxwell email, regardless of its authorship or accuracy, documents that Epstein's files contained specific claims about Maxwell-Mossad financial arrangements including the $400M extortion allegation.
Combined with the Toka "Cousins" reference and the Unit 8200 board composition, these documents create a pattern: Epstein's network intersected with Israeli intelligence at multiple nodes — through investment (Carbyne/Unit 8200 veterans), technology distribution (Toka/government clients), personnel access (Barak/Mossad), and historical narrative (Maxwell/Mossad).
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: The emails establish that Epstein directly asked Barak about access to "mossad guys" and "former mossad agents" in the context of the Weinstein/Black Cube scandal. Epstein's files contained specific claims about Robert Maxwell's Mossad relationship. This does NOT establish that Barak provided Mossad agents to Boies, that the Maxwell-Mossad claims are accurate, or that Epstein himself was a Mossad asset. The Boies emails may reflect gossip or press speculation rather than personal knowledge.
