[GRADE A2 -- EFTA00887747 (Epstein's own email, rhowardstone corpus)]
On December 22, 2009, Jeffrey Epstein emailed Boris Nikolic: "nathan wolfe will be here on jan 3. virus man." This two-sentence message establishes three things: Epstein was already in regular contact with Nikolic by late 2009; Nathan Wolfe ("virus man") was being introduced through Epstein's network; and Epstein used Nikolic as a scheduling sounding board for science visitors.
Three days later, on December 25, 2009, Nikolic emailed asking whether Epstein had received his email "Re Nathan Wolf" -- confirming the introduction was actively coordinated, not casual.
[GRADE A2 -- EFTA02438858 (Epstein's files, DOJ corpus)]
On October 21, 2009, Dan Dubno forwarded Epstein a USA Today article titled "Bioterror Failures Criticized In Report" under the subject "Why the Hourglass Initiative is long-overdue." This places Epstein's biosecurity interest at minimum October 2009 -- predating the Nikolic codons email by three months.
[GRADE A2 -- EFTA00765982 (Epstein's files, DOJ corpus)]
On January 6, 2010, Nikolic sent Epstein the pivotal "follow up 3 - codons" email with two PDF attachments: "Biosecurity_and_Registries_of Standard_Biological_Parts.pdf" and "Wheelis.pdf." The "follow up 3" subject line indicates this was the third in a series of biosecurity briefings from Nikolic to Epstein.
[GRADE A2 -- jmail-efta02428689 (Feb 24, 2010)]
On February 24, 2010, Nikolic sent Epstein an email with subject "Cool science" containing a link and mentioning Joi Ito. This places the science briefing pipeline in early 2010, connecting to MIT Media Lab.
The biosecurity prelude establishes a clear chronology: Dubno (bioterror, Oct 2009), Epstein-Wolfe ("virus man," Dec 2009), Nikolic-codons (Jan 2010), Nikolic-"Cool science" (Feb 2010). The "follow up 3" numbering proves systematic biosecurity education from Nikolic to Epstein. The attachment titles (biological parts registries, Wheelis -- a biosecurity scholar) indicate university-level biosecurity literature.
[v4.0 -- Wolfe Cutoff Corrected]
v4.0 mining confirms Nathan Wolfe's last jmail email was July 14, 2010 -- only 7 months after the "virus man" introduction. The v3.0 characterization of Wolfe "disappearing post-2015" is incorrect; Wolfe was never a sustained correspondent. This limits the Wolfe-Nikolic-biosecurity chain to a single introduction window (Dec 2009 - Jul 2010). H6 (Wolfe virology + Nikolic biosecurity = dual-use) is downgraded from B to C. Late Metabiota/pandemic references in the corpus (2016-2018) returned 0 results connected to Wolfe.
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: Documents establish that Nikolic provided biosecurity briefing materials to Epstein in a series of at least three follow-ups. They do NOT show that Nikolic was aware of or involved in any DNA collection program.
