GRADE A2/B -- Epstein files, CHS reports, news articles
Barak maintained direct personal communication with Epstein through iMessage (EFTA01617973) and was cc'd on Carbyne international sales emails through February 2019. On March 18, 2019, Epstein forwarded Barak a Jerusalem Post article about Barak's phone and computer being hacked by Iranian intelligence (EFTA02636758) -- Epstein functioned as an intelligence intermediary.
Barak's co-appearances include Nili Priell Barak (assistant) and connections to Carbyne founder Amir Elichai, Nicole Junkermann, and Peter Thiel's Founders Fund via Trae Stephens (EFTA02656963).
2019 Silence: Neither Barak nor Wexner appears in any 2019-dated document in the corpus. Given the extensive 2017-2018 communication, this absence during the arrest period is noteworthy.
On August 7, 2019 -- three days before Epstein's death -- the NYT published Wexner's accusation that Epstein had "Misappropriated Vast Sums of Money" (EFTA00172284). A JPMorgan "Durable Power of Attorney" for Epstein exists in the corpus (EFTA01340307). The "Wexner Analysis: Israeli Communication Priorities 2003" prepared for the Wexner Foundation appears in DOJ case files (doj-ogr-00032091).
Epstein himself filed CIA and FBI FOIA requests through attorney Martin Weinberg in July 2011 (EFTA00687827): "did we fill out one for the fbi foia? did we not send anything yet to cia?" Weinberg responded that the CIA "demanded a privacy waiver but have no specific CIA form." Separately, emails from Epstein to a "jP cIa" email address exist in the corpus (EFTA00880954, 2009).
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: The Barak/Wexner/intelligence connections are documented in Epstein's own communications. Carbyne (911 surveillance technology with Israeli intelligence origins) connected Barak, Epstein, and Qatari interests through early 2019. However, the documents do not establish that any intelligence service participated in or facilitated Epstein's death.
