[GRADE A2 -- Jmail corpus (Epstein's email)]
Five jmail emails from Lesley Groff (Epstein's executive assistant) document a large artwork:
| Date | Subject | Content |
|---|---|---|
| Nov 5, 2012 | Reminder The Skull painting | Delivery between 11-1:00 |
| Nov 5, 2012 | "The Skull" | Uncrated -- 98" wide by 78" high |
| Nov 5, 2012 | Where would you like The Skull installed? | Delivery men at the house |
| Oct 8, 2013 | Skull Painting | "Leon's office has contacted me about having the Skull painting picked up since it did not work out" |
| Oct 9, 2013 | Skull painting to be picked up tomorrow | Pickup confirmed |
The painting was delivered to Epstein's residence in November 2012 and returned to Leon Black's office in October 2013. Leon Black (Apollo Global Management) paid Epstein $19.75M in advisory fees (documented in OS-06). The painting loan/return suggests an ongoing personal relationship with asset exchange.
The "Skull" painting is not related to Skull and Bones the secret society. It establishes physical asset circulation between Epstein and Leon Black during the 2012-2013 period when advisory fees were being paid. The painting "did not work out" suggests either aesthetic disagreement or a change in the relationship dynamic.
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: The emails document physical artwork moving between Epstein and Leon Black's office. They do NOT indicate any S&B connection. This evidence is relevant to the Epstein-Black financial relationship documented in OS-06.
