Multiple Butterfly Trust documents name Indyke as trustee:
EFTA01472226 (Feb 3-10, 2015): Indyke formally notified Deutsche Bank that he and Richard Kahn had resigned as trustees of the Butterfly Trust. Replacement trustees: Erika Kellerhals (Kellerhals Ferguson Kroblin PLLC, St. Thomas USVI) and Harry Beller (Louis J. Septimus & Company, NYC). Amanda Kirby warned Morris: "With all the recent press there will be alerts raised on JE's and this will go to High Risk for approval." The resignation came one month after the January 2015 ARRC review — timing that may reflect an effort to restructure governance ahead of anticipated scrutiny.
EFTA01345572/629 (May 8-9, 2014): Epstein's custody account held 88,000 EUR (~$122K). The DB team arranged for Indyke to physically pick up 15,000 EUR in cash from the branch. Daphne Cales (VP, Branch Supervisor) and Margaux McGrath coordinated logistics, navigating the 7,500 EUR/USD per-day withdrawal limit. Morris was consulted: "I spoke with Paul and we have a few more questions." This physical euro delivery parallels the structured USD cash withdrawals documented in the consent order — Indyke was conducting cash pickups in multiple currencies.
EFTA01504082 (May 2011): JPMorgan account statement for "DARREN K. INDYKE IRA ROLLOVER" lists Paul Morris as Banker, with Paul Barrett (Investment Specialist), Janet Young, Gina Swetra, and Pauline Esposito on the team. This confirms the personal banking relationship between Morris and Indyke predated Deutsche Bank by years — Morris was Indyke's personal banker at JPM, not just the Epstein account banker.
EFTA01468614 (Apr 30, 2014): Morris to unnamed recipient re LB ISDA:
"I spoke with him, he knows we need some financial info on lb before we can get him a draft ISDA"
Darren Indyke responds: "Good morning, Paul. Not sure what you are asking for. Please clarify."
WHY THIS MATTERS: "LB" = Leon Black. Morris was coordinating ISDA documentation for Leon Black through Indyke as intermediary. Indyke's response — claiming not to understand what financial information was needed — suggests suggests the request was unclear or that Indyke sought clarification before releasing Black's financial information. This establishes Indyke as the conduit between Morris and Black for derivatives documentation, confirming Epstein (through his attorney) controlled the Black-DB relationship.
EFTA01282070 (KYC document): Indyke listed as signatory on Zorro Development Corp accounts (opened 4/28/2014). These accounts funded "the day-to-day expenses associated with running the ranch in New Mexico that Zorro owns" — the Zorro Ranch in Stanley, NM where abuse was documented. Indyke had transaction authority over the account that maintained Epstein's New Mexico property operations.
EFTA01346199 (January 2016): Indyke was on the notification chain for the $20M wire from bellaklein (Bella Klein) to Kellerhals Ferguson Kroblin PLLC. Melinda Roy: "FYI — we had a $20M outflow Friday afternoon" — distributed to Indyke, Morris, Oldfield, and others. This confirms Indyke's visibility into major wire activity involving Kellerhals Ferguson Kroblin PLLC, the USVI law firm that received multiple large wires for "property purchases" and escrow.
EFTA01345583 (May 8, 2014): McGrath to Indyke (cc Morris, Stepanian, Kirby): Authorization form for Indyke to cash checks up to $7,500 at the Deutsche Bank branch. Requires both Epstein and Indyke signatures. Indyke holds Power of Attorney over the account. This extends Indyke's cash access beyond the documented cash withdrawals — he could also cash checks directly at the branch up to the same $7,500 limit used for his regular withdrawals.
EFTA01354396 (Oct 3, 2013): KYC Annual Call Note assigned to Morris — Customer: Indyke, Darren (Case #01133377). This confirms Indyke was KYC'd as his own entity/customer relationship at Deutsche Bank from the start of the Epstein onboarding, separate from his role as authorized signer on Epstein accounts.
WHAT THIS SHOWS AND DOES NOT SHOW: The EFTA documents reveal Indyke was deeply embedded in Epstein's DB account infrastructure — trustee and beneficiary of the Butterfly Trust, authorized signer on Southern Financial accounts, subject of an AML investigation, and in the wire approval chain. The AML investigation found nothing beyond the cash withdrawal pattern. None of this establishes that Indyke facilitated criminal activity through these accounts.
