Batch 6 EFTA documents clarify the division of labor between Tazia Smith and Lesley Groff in managing access to Epstein:
- Tazia Smith = DB business operations gatekeeper. Was copied on communications regarding $75M currency trades (EFTA01455153), prepared KYC/onboarding paperwork, scheduled business conference calls ("Tazia, Paul and Vinit"), relayed investment pitches.
- Lesley Groff = Epstein's personal access gatekeeper. Scheduled Morris's "appointments with Jeffrey" (EFTA00335373-391), offered evening meeting times (7pm), arranged salon meetings and Maybach pickups (EFTA01344886), coordinated Apollo Global meetings (EFTA00334461).
Both managed Morris's relationship with Epstein, but through different channels: Smith through the bank, Groff through Epstein's household. The EFTA documents show these channels operated simultaneously — Smith handling the trading while Groff handled the personal access.
